Introduction to Meditation and Pranayama
An interactive and informative look at Meditation.
Participants will find out what meditation is and is not, in a casual, fun, and informative presentation. We'll also teach everyone an easy-to-follow meditation technique, so they can begin practising in the class and at home.
There are many types of meditation and we'll go over several during the class. We will learn what a mantra is, why it's useful, and how and why anyone can learn how to meditate. We'll take a quick look at the history of meditation, and some of the recent science behind meditation.
We'll cover the benefits of meditation and discover how meditation can be an effective antidote to stress by naturally and effortlessly creating a mind-body shift to a state balance.
In the last section of the course, the group will learn an easy meditation technique, followed by a Question and Answer session with the course leader.
